The Eye of the Beholder by AllisonRachel The Eye of the Beholder by AllisonRachel
I've been made aware that the rules state the following:
(iii) may not be inappropriate, offensive, libelous or defamatory, pornographic, sexually explicit, unlawful or plagiarized, as determined by the deviantART in its sole discretion; (iv) must not be harassing, abusive, threatening, harmful, vulgar, profane,

I do not feel like they apply to this drawing in any way. While looking through, I saw that one of the top entries has a shirtless man. In such cultures as the one portrayed in this drawing, they are treated equally and I find it only appropriate that this be treated as such. I also feel that as individuals of an art community everyone should be mature enough for tasteful nudity. I'm simply showing the body as a piece of art in itself.

I probably should have blended the original lines in a little more, but I really just wanted this to be a pencil drawing. Please ignore the underexposed photo. Just a quick snapshot to get it uploaded. I don't really think this will be one of the best entries, but I did want to show what I saw in the skribbles just for fun.
You should all check out my friend Chrissy's entry too. [link]

I wouldn't worry about any of this breaking the rules. If the only nudity is the same kind you find in National Geographic, it's not offensive.

Those do look painful though.

Thank you! That's exactly what I was trying to say, but I just felt like there would be that one rude person trying to tell me I'm wrong so I put that out there just in case.

Winner, winner, chicken dinner!

I always found African tribals to be one of the best examples when it comes to relativity of society.

What's with those dark black lines?

It's part of the contest thing. They give you skribbles and you have to turn them into a picture. That's what I turned it into.

Thank you so much. I really love the whole vibe of it. I feel like people who live like that are the closest to the earth.
